Fine product

Comments about EP Branch Multi-Port Tee, 6 Outlets, 1":

Works well, fairly compact, reasonable price. It would be nice if these came in a 2-port version also since it allows both circuits to go off parallel to each other (unlike a tee).

Excellent product

Comments about EP Branch Multi-Port Tee, 6 Outlets, 3/4":

I used this as part of a replumb of my home. I orginally was going to use the copper manifolds which are nice but pricy. This met all of my needs and at a fraction of the cost.

grouped outlets conveniently locates fittings in a single accessible location. a six port manifold cuts the number of connections from 18 to 8.

  • EP Branch Multi-Port Tee, 4 Outlets, 3/4"

    Q:

looking at the Q2247550 polymer multibranch T port... what is minimum temperature ? looking to hook up household water, and while we don't plan on it ever getting to freezing temp, there is that possibility... just trying to find out if it will burst.
Asked on 7/6/2016 by bj from oklhahome

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

there is no minimum temp, but water should not freeze inside the fitting or pex tubing as it can cause cracking or bursting.

  • EP Branch Multi-Port Tee, 4 Outlets, 3/4"

    Q:

is there any way to mount these to the wall? I don't see any type of mounting clips or brackets.
Asked on 9/25/2015 by john from rock tavern n.y.

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Any product designed to mount 1" copper pipe (for the ¾" EP Branch Multi-port Tee) or 1¼" copper pipe (for the 1" EP Branch Multi-port Tee) may be used as a mounting bracket.

  • EP Branch Multi-Port Tee, 6 Outlets, 3/4"

    Q:

I have read that EP fittings can't be reused. If you cap off one of the ports can you then remove the pex tubing and ring that was used to cap the port and then put another piece of tubing and pro pex ring on that same port for later use.
    Asked on 6/4/2015 by Tony

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Yes, you can reuse the port fitting, However care must be taken when removing the existing ring and tubing so as not to nick or damage the EP port barb. You should then be able to join a new connection to the EP manifiold using the expander tool

  • EP Branch Multi-Port Tee, 12 Outlets, 1" (w/ Mounting Clips)

    Q:

What is the spacing between the outlet ports? Is there enough space to install ball valves in the following setup:

Branch T --> short pex --> male adapter --> ball valve --> male adapter --> pex run
    Asked on 1/10/2015 by pvcflyer

    1 answer

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

I just run the pex out away from the T-Branch and then add any valves. I
assume you're wanting to put a shutoff valve on there. Just give yourself
some distance with the pex. You can't really attach the valve directly
(unless they are making one now that I'm unaware of).

Is this made from the same grade A quality PEX that Aquapex uses?

      A:

The EP Multi-Port Tee is made of engineered plastic. It is not made of PEX material like the Aquapex tubing.

    Q:

Could you tell me which compression tool would work on this multi-port. They look very close to each other.
Asked on 8/14/2013 by Garry from Media, Pa.

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

Simple. Use the Uponar Pro Pex pipe with the sleeve, expand it with the expansion tool, then slip it over the outlet on the tee. When it contracts, you are done.

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

This is an Uponor PEX fitting and, as such, does not use a compression tool.
It uses Uponor PEX, rings and an expansion tool.

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

you will have to use an expander tool.
this multi-port does not use compression tools.
The expander tool expands the pipe with a ring on the pipe made out of pex, and when you are done, the pipe contracts to make a tight fit.
      Hope this helps.

      A:

This multiport Appears to be a wirsbo aquapex design. In which case it uses the wirsbo expander tool. It uses a specific wirsbo pex tubing and expansion rings to permenantly attach pipes to fittings.

What are the specifics on this port? The picture is clearly the wrong one because the port count is off. Does the 1" 6 port have a 1" inlet and 6 3/4 outlets? Is there a 1" inlet and 4 3/4 outlet port avaliable?

This part has 6 of the 1/2" outlets and a 1" inlet. This specific unit is not available with 3/4" outlets.
