Comments about ProPEX EP Plug for 1/2" PEX:

If you may need an extra port off a manifold for future use, a ProPex plug and a small piece of PEX tubing is an ideal way to build this feature.

      A:

Yes, that is an end stop. It will close off a line. I use them all the time
when roughing in and want to test the system for leaks, end stop your pipe
and charge the system and check for leaks. Simply cut them out and reuse
      them again and again.

It is used to cap an end of a run or an unsued line.  I have also used them to cap lines for pressure testing.

Yes I believe so, I used plastic fittings throuthout if possible. I also used the propex shrink bands non metalic. My plumber recomended that method over compression bands (metal)

This plug cannot be installed on a manifold. It only works with PEX-A tubing using the ProPEX expansion method of connection.
