High quality and a great price!

Comments about ProPEX EP Angle Stop Valve for 1/2" PEX:

These valves work great and are priced significantly less than other Uponor valves. It would be nice if there were similarly priced ball valves.

Comments about ProPEX EP Angle Stop Valve for 1/2" PEX:

This is a clean solution for out of the wall terminations. My only gripe is the instructions or lack there of for installation.

Comments about ProPEX EP Angle Stop Valve for 1/2" PEX:

Propex EP quality, ceramic durability and fast! What else could a plumbing finish crew want? Expand tubing, insert valve, place the valve in the off position and turn the water back on! So easy, even the Boss could do it!

Works as advertised, but a bit flimsy

By Jim the Fish

from Corvallis, OR

Verified Buyer

Comments about ProPEX EP Angle Stop Valve for 1/2" PEX:

I installed these directly to Pro Pex coming out of a stub-out for a utility dog washing tub. The outlet side with the plastic fine threads is easy to cross-thread, so take care when attaching the flex lines to your fixture. The shut-off is very easy to actuate, quick and slim...but the "ring" actuator feels a bit noodly. If you tried hard to turn it past it's stops, it would be easy to bust it.

  • ProPEX EP Angle Stop Valve for 1/2" PEX

    Q:

I'd like to use this angle valve for a sink and dishwasher situation where I split it - what is the best way to split using these valves?

      A:

The standard way is to use a "Tee" after leaving the valve, thus routing one 3/8 supply to the sink and one to the dishwasher. The Tee would be of a type that would be suitable for
the supply tubing (runs between the valve and fixture) that you chose to use. This is the most common practice for a single existing water supply. Another method and perhaps a
better solution is to divide your water supply before reaching the valve so that you would have two valves and a means of shutting off either of the two fixtures independently.
This would be done using a Tee suitable for the Pex you will be using.

      A:

If you have the lines coming out of the wall and you are using angle stops put in a tee so the run of the tee goes to faucet and the branch of tee faces toward bottom of cabinet with the stop facing the dishwasher side of cabinet this is the best way
If your in a jam and you need to feed bot the faucet and dishwasher from that single angle stop the get a 3/8" compression tee and tee off for dishwasher and faucet after the angle stop this Is not the best way because if you have to shut off the facet or dishwasher you have to shut off both
Best case scenario you always want to have a shut off for each appliance or water outlet
      I hope this helps
