Why does the alarm go off? And what do you do after you stop the alarm from sounding.

            A:

The alarm goes off when the water level rises too high, indicating that the
evacuation pump is not running or there is a blockage. Once the alarm is
shut off, the next step would be to determine why the water level rose
beyond where it should and either clear any blockage, repair or replace the
            pump, etc.

            A:

This alarm is usually connected to a sewage basin. In case of high level of sewage and just before the sewage overflows and floods the exterior of the basin the alarm is supposed to alert before the flood. You then have to call for help. Now it’s up to you if you want to stop the alarm or have whomever is performing the service take care of the alarm. The important part is to service the basin. That’s why the alarm is installed in the first place.
