Comments about 2" Cast Iron Slip x Slip Check Valve Union:

This was a replacement for the original installed.(not a Zoeller) It was very easy to install and it works great. Much quieter than the original. I have 3 sumps in my house and I have Zoeller valves on all three.

Comments about 2" Cast Iron Slip x Slip Check Valve Union:

I had purchased a cheaper product at local supply to connect my waste line pump to the existing drain. It was flimsy and leaked. No problems with this item.

            A:

This check valve isn’t installed with your potable water system. It’s usually installed at the sump pump or sewage system. You need to find out where the hammering is occurring then install a hammer arrestor at that location. Or you can install a whole house water hammer arrestor.

            A:

This valve is not designed to eliminate water hammer. It is intended to prevent backflow in sump pump systems.
