- Geofencing technology allows you to automate an energy-saving temperature set-back strategy based on your location. On your phone app, choose a radius from 1-20 miles from your home. Once the phone travels outside the radius, your home temperature automatically changes to the desired set point in the AWAY mode. Once inside the radius, your thermostat's programmed schedule resumes.
