Rifeng products ok

I recently installed an Electric boiler using many rifeng products. The Brass to Pex were handy and enabled a Pex boiler layout that saved me hundreds of dollars and hours of time sweating pipes. I only had to sweat the boiler connections. The 5-port Rifeng manifold has some good and bad. I liked the built in fill valves and circuit flow controllers. The flow meters don't register correctly under low flow and I did have one sticky valve and one leaky one that required a little paste. The entry and exit valve control assemblies have a design that requires an absolute firm pipe mount to keep the seal. they are organized somewhat like a sink drain with a gasket and a wire collar to hold the nut torque. Good thing is you can't over torque. All in all good products at a reasonable price.

A good Tee but it restricts flow

I own over a dozen rental properties. I quit installing copper around 2010 as I discovered PEX is far superior and cheaper. I've made several purchases from SupplyHouse.com and I have been massively impressed with their products and customer service. I've used this Tee several times. My issue: This Tee is poorly designed. I've installed this type of Tee as I try to keep flow rates and water pressure stable- meaning- I always try to feed two 3/4" lines from a 1" supply line. That way, if both 3/4" lines are in use at the same time, the 1" line can handle the flow into the two 3/4"lines without seeing any pressure drop (quit painful for those taking a shower when someone flushes a toilet or starts watering the grass...). Unfortunately, this Tee is designed in a way where the 1" part of the Tee tapers down to a 3/4"pipe diameter just before it feeds the two 3/4" lines of the Tee. In other words, you may as well use a cheaper 3/4" supply line into a cheaper 3/4" Tee as you will not see any benefits of the increased capacity of a 1" supply line when using this Tee. If, on the other hand, you don't care about flow rates and pressure but are instead only interested in making a connection from a 1" line to two 3/4" lines then this Tee is adequate and will work perfectly. Again, this Tee works- but incorporates a flawed design that reduces the flow when both 3/4" lines are both in use concurrently. Note: I'm still a loyal customer and will continue to buy from Supply House (just not this Tee!)!

works great for my purposes.....

what I like about these is I run an 1/8" NPT tap through the 1/2" end and use them as a baseboard vent tee. They work really great for that purpose..... and relatively inexpensive as well.....

PEX monoflo tees are not currently available. Your best bet would be to solder PEX x street adapters to standard copper monoflo tees.

The H057550 tee measures 2-3/16" across the 3/4" ports and 1-3/8" tall.

We sell 5/8" PEX tubing, but only with an oxygen barrier (for heating applications). This fitting (part H050625) works with any 5/8" PEX using the crimp or clamp method.

These would be for fixing an existing installation using 5/8" tubing. 3/8" and 5/8 are much less popular than they used to be. Chris.

Well that is a 5/8 tee...so 5/8 PEX pipe would connect to it. the same applies to 1/2 and 3/4 tees. so you need the PEX pipe and crimp rings with crimpers. Good luck, John

5/8" PEX tubing with or without oxygen barrier is available, but used less often than the 1/2", 3/4", or 1" PEX tubing. Special 7/8" PEX tubing and fittings are available for simplified installation of radiant heat panels or flooring. I would probable pick 3/4" PEX rather than use the 5/8" because the fittings are easily available. Use the 5/8" PEX if your application or specs specifically require it. JD

according to the text description on the website, rifeng (the manufacturer of this fitting) manufactures fittings for the clamp or crimp type Pex systems. Pex comes in many sizes starting at 3/8" and ending around 1 1/4". can be used with Pex A, Pex B or oxygen barrier Pex. This fitting would not be suitable for Pex-AL-Pex. which require a different fitting and tool system. Pex has a completely different manufacturing process and should not be confused with any other types of tubing.

They are for 5/8 PEX,other suppliers carry the 5/8,I have also used pex fittings for automotive heater hose connections as the good fittings are hard to find for automotive anymore,5/8 would work with 1/2 heater hose,3/4 fittings will work with 5/8 heater hose etc.

A 5/8" PEX tee is for 5/8" PEX tubing which is an odd size.  Normal PEX sizes are 1/2" and 3/4" for residential plumbing.  So if you have 1/2" PEX tubing, you need 1/2" PEX tee.

Q: are these tee's the correct fittings for baseboard heat?

It depends on what you're trying to do. Baseboard elements are copper, so you would normally use a PEX x copper adapter to connect PEX lines to baseboards.

No, part H051071 is 1" in the middle and at the larger side. It is 3/4" at the other side. The third dimension for a tee is always the middle section. It sounds like you're looking for part H051175.
