Nice Product!

The hardest part was being sure I had straight cuts on my pex tubing. After that the tubing just slid inside the fittings. I have seen these fitting used on air lines before, but never for water pipes. Extremely handy! I don't have the fancy pex tool and since I found these...probably never will. There is also a C clip disconnect to remove the fittings and reuse again if you wish. This product is really well thought out!

Beware - threads are cut very poorly

I've used a bunch of Sharkbite fittings, with no issues ever. But these - I have never seen threads so poorly cut. I planned to use these to connect to a plastic threaded water softener, but the threads were cut so poorly I don't trust them to not destroy the plastic side. Note: Supplyhouse's customer service gets 5 stars - they suggested their Bluefin version and waived the shipping charges.

Pex adapter

I wanted to use a pro pex to female union but those are way too expensive, used these instead. They work great but I always keep an eye on sharkbite fittings just in general, I've seen too many fail. So far these are holding strong.

Q: When I thread the brass female threads of the sharkbite fitting to a male PVC fitting of my water softener wrapped with teflon tape I Notice drips at the connection. I was careful not to cross thread anyting. If i try to tighten the fitting more, it tends to drip more. when i took apart the fitting last time, the tape seemed to get pushed up the male threads... Any Solution? Is there anything I'm Missing?
