Dehumidifier saved lives

Just turn it on and it goes. Although it has a humidity gauge for automatic shut off, initalky you'll have to adjust the setting. Unit is a bit noisy compared to the cheaper, let's poison you will irritating plastic burning smell and toxic fumes. Being all metal, no unpleasant odors. Easy to empty or just use the convenient constant drain that comes with the unit. I saved hundredabof sollars by purchasing feom PexSupply.

Too early to tell. Initially disappointed

Item arrived DOA with no damage to box. Shipping was lightning fast from Supplyhouse. Anyway, no fan or light when plugged in. I took the covers off and one of the wires from the power cord was off its terminal on the main capacitor connection. Fantech support sent a diagram to verify the correct connection for this wire. On the third tank of water, the float switch did not shut off the unit so I had water all over my floor. I was happier when the water was in the air. I now have a hose connection so I am OK. You may not be. I bought this unit because I have been through 3 department store units and wanted one heavy duty. I will need to get 10 years out of this to be satisfied. Once the initial problems were solved, this seems like a good unit. I would only recommend for hands on individuals with waterproof flooring.

Lasted a year and a half, same as dept store models

Worked great for a year and a half, and now is icing over. Dept store models have had the same problem. Sits in a warm basement with a wood stove, not a cold crawlspace. I was hoping for a better product with its price tag.

Q: what is the dimension of the coil and is there a filter? I had a price on a Sani Dry system with 2 stage filters at 109 pints/day and the 300 cfm unit was $1700.00.
