I don't know about buying this product again and again!
This Honeywell TrueSTEAM humidifier works great, when it doesn't have a problem.. This was a warranty replacement, so I am crossing my fingers.. However, the Customer Service crew at Supply House is unbelievably helpful and courteous, and went out of their way to solve every problem! I can't say enough good things about this company with which I have been working since 2011.. No problem, will buy anything from them, and if I have a problem, I am certain they will solve it for me.. thanks SupplyHouse !

Works as advertised
I replaced a previous Honeywell humidifier that was about 8 years old. This one was pretty well "plug and play" since it was a successor model to the previous one. The humidifier works fine. It would be nice if the new one lasts a bit longer.
The box that I received was missing one of the filters. This was not SupplyHouse's problem since the box was factory sealed. SupplyHouse was super helpful and responsive in getting the missing part to me very quickly.

An improvement over older unit
I had a Honeywell HM509 humidifier for 8 years which failed and I replaced it with the HM609. A direct replacement with some cosmetic changes to the lights and buttons. Could not purchase the unit without a reverse osmosis (RO) filter. The steam from the HM509 produced an unpleasant odor which has disappeared with the HM609 and RO filter. Although the RO filter replacement is about three times the cost, it may be worth it. Better documentation and troubleshooting guide with the HM609. Been working fine for about a month.

Works as intended
Replaced a similar model humidifier that was 9 years old. Make sure to calculate your cubic feet correctly when picking a model.My house was on the edge of the 9-gallon and 12-gallon models. The 9-gallon does the job 98% of the time for me, but with the second week of single digit temperatures, I can't get the humidity above 38%.

Verified Reply- Supplyhouse StaffThis unit comes with a connection from the humidifier to your home's cold water pipe, this 1/4-inch line brings cold water to the humidifier from a water pipe in your home. There must be a shut off valve and a back flow preventer in place as well.
