Hawt Dog

I bought this for my husbands Garage as a Christmas gift. Its a 2.5 car garage uninsulated. The heater works great. He loves it and is very happy with the heat it produces. He will get much use out of this heater and it will pay itself off in the next year considering he had been warming his garage with propane. The shipping was fast an efficient. We did find the heater less expensive but Supply House.com stood by their price match guarantee and rebated the difference with no problem, We appreciate e a company that stands by their word! I highly recommend this supplier!

Installed, hooked up, but untested

Shipping was fast, installation instuctions were very detailed and easy to follow.( i would consider myself fairly mechanically and electrically handy) I have only test ran this for about 5 minutes after final hook up due to summer weather. My first impressions are positive. The venting fan and blower fan ran quietly and the flame looked very good. I will update this review once i have had some cold weather to truly test it out.

no Heat is this heater

I tried to use this heater in a shop, whitch was built 8 years ago.I live in the Adirondac Mts. where the winters are bitter. the heater was fine for 3 years with 300 gals of gas put through it. for the last 5 years I have put as much in parts and labor $$$as I paid for it. I do not recomend this product to anyone. The pluming and heating co. in the area are also as disatisfied with the performace and the little use off this unit.

Q: Does this heater come with a ventilation kit? Also, does it require anything additional for a residence in a high altitude of 5000 feet?

These units do not come with a venting kit. There is no kit for high altitudes. The heaters are derated above 2000ft and instructions for pressure adjustments are included in the install manual that ships with the unit.

Q: Does the unit have and come with a fan ? It does say it has a tubular power vent but also says Blower available which was confusing. Surely it comes with a blower fan on the back doesnt it? Also, i live at 9000 feet altitude do you have and does it need a high altitude kit?

The unit has a blower for power venting, but a standard propeller fan for air circulation. High altitude installations must be accommodated for by the installer de-rating the gas input appropriately.
