[...] unit works fine - I use this thermostat on a 12 volt DC chest freezer (not the 120AC as specs show)- keeps temp within a few degrees - setting on thermostat is accurate -

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe T4031A1073 can be directly immersed in the controlled medium so yes it will work in an ice bin. Contact makes on temperature rise.

Q: Will this thermostat operate on 12VDC. It is installed on a 12volt refrigerator I recently purchased and I assume it is operating at that voltage. I would like to get one for my 12volt freezer if it will work.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe circuit must be tested to determine the voltage that is operating in the freezer. If the whole circuit in the freezer is 12V it will not work.
