We use Arlington 2-gang boxes for all TVs
We used the Arlington 2-gang, electrical and Cat6 (in our case), recessed box for all of our TV remodels. Our latest was a Samsung "frame" TV that mounts "totally flat" within a few millimeters. So this was critical. We put a Leviton surge receptacle in the left side and Leviton Cat6 plate in the right. Works great, easy to install (old work or new), and a good price.

Perfect solution
If one needs to add a recessed receptacle w/ low power connections (Cat6/coax/etc.), this is the perfect solution for TVs, etc. Supports new work with long screws or old work with the usual "ear" sandwiching. Low power side is an open back, my only complaint...I would prefer an enclosed box for better air control. Makes for a very efficient and neat installation.
