The DST-932 is a differential temperature controller. In automatic mode it drives the relay output checking the difference of the temperatures from the collector T2 and the storage tank T1. In order to store the solar energy, it switches on a circulator pump as soon as T2-T1 is greater than a Delta T set point (dt). Also, there are over temperature and freeze alarm.
To verify the whole heating system it is possible toggle to manual mode and switching on or off the circulator pump. In manual mode the controller does not read any probe value, so no alarm function is activate.

- Lockout switch to prevent tempering by unauthorized personne

- Two universal 10K ohm sensors P-01 are supplied with the control. This solid state temperature sensor probe can be extended up to 500 feet.

I would buy this again.
I use this on a solar collector to turn a 110v pump on and off. Easy to set up and wire. Sensors are accurate and can be run a long distance.

So far so good
I like the controller but I think the wiring to install it is unnecessarily convoluted (basically need a jumper cable around the outside of the unit from the control ports to the other side of the unit to power it). Not a deal breaker, but seemed odd.
Also, I'm waiting to hear back from them for more details on choosing the settings. The default settings are ok, but I was looking for more regional-specific settings to optimize function.

Single pump controller.
I'm sure this is a good controller but but it is not for a solar water heating unit that requires 2 pumps, one for the collector loop and one for the storage loop.

100,000 BTUs from 220watts
This was a perfect fit it's a common size component. It was wicked easy to setup, and in 5 minutes I had my system running. Make sure you place the sensor inside the solar panel. Really this control could not make solar any simpler. Azel always has had zoning, controls, and electrical products which we can trust in the field. They typically last for at least 5yr some more with no issues and when they fail it's a pretty easy diagnosis and replacement. Thanks guys the service here at SH.com is great. No problem with returns as well with this online outfit. Fast shipping to top it off.
