The polyester pleated filters are suited for a variety of uses and can be used in residential, commercial and industrial applications. The non-woven polyester filter media is pleated around a polypropylene core for added strength and stability. The pleated surface area provides greater sediment and dirt holding capacity while maintaining flow rate and reducing initial pressure drop.

We change every 3 months. The filter is always dirty. Sometimes very dirty. We then filter the water again for drinking. Total Dissolved Solids always read 15-20 ppm. I believe the suggest safe number 50ppm or lower.
