3/4" MNPT FlowCal Automatic Flow Balancing Valve, Low Lead (0.5 GPM)

Balancing hydronic circuits is important to providing optimal system performance and efficiency to meet desired comfort levels. FlowCal automatically maintains the design flow rate to each terminal unit despite changing differential pressure changes across the circuits. With an exclusive scale resistant, low noise cartridge and compact body, FlowCal is ideal for controlling flow to fan coils, base boards, radiators, or plumbing fixtures in hot water recirculation. Balancing is fast, easy and efficient.

Features:

• High-performance hydronic system balancing: Automatically maintains design circuit flow rate, despite differential pressure changes across the circuits, using a cartridge with spring-loaded piston and characterized orifices.
• Quiet operation: Replaceable patented low noise polymer flow cartridge provides specified flow rate (gpm), with no field balancing or adjustments. A special internal chamber dampens vibrations triggered by fluid flow, allowing low noise operation.
• Union connections: Compact design featuring union end connections and choice of NPT, Sweat, Press and PEX fittings for ease of installation and maintenance.
• Anti-scale cartridge: Specially engineered to prevent mineral buildup. High resistance to abrasion caused by continuous fluid flow, insensitive to scale deposits and fully compatible with glycols and additives used in hydronic circuits.
• Selectable flow rates: Factory assembled and tested with flow cartridge, choices of 0.35 to 10 gpm and pipe sizes ½", ¾" or 1".
• Application flexibility: For use in all hydronic systems- both on zone branches and directly at terminals. Also suitable for hot water recirculation balancing applications.
