SIG80D BreezSignature G2 Series, Dual Speed Bath Fan (80 CFM)

To qualify for an insulation and air sealing subsidy on my rental property, i was required to provide a constant source of ventilation. The contractor recommended a Panasonic two-speed fan for this. I had questions about the product, no one at Panasonic responded to my email or answered the phone. Delta provided full documentation about their product in PDF form, easy to find online, so I purchased the Delta product. Doesn't hurt Delta charges less, too. The unit was relatively straightforward to install, I was able to pull constant hot and switched hot from the light fixture box, so the fan operates at a silent 30 cfm constantly and ramps up to full speed when the bathroom light is switched on. I like this arrangement as its very simple for the renter. Full speed is audible but not intrusive, just a whooshing sound. The two disappointments I have are the grill looks cheap, and there is no built in service disconnect. The instructions say to turn off the breaker for servicing. In my case, the tenant would be cleaning in the dark with no way to power a vacuum. If cleaning is difficult, renters won't do it. I addressed this by drilling a hole in the in-built junction box and adding a Double Pole Single Throw (DPST) switch to kill both sources of voltage for cleaning and servicing.
