Nickel plated blades, contacts and terminal screws provide corrosion resistance
Receptacles have glass-filled nylon exterior shells and spring-loaded covers that provide impact resistance in harsh environments and a NEMA 4X watertight rating when covers are closed or when mated with a watertight plug
