Receptacles have glass-filled nylon exterior shells and spring-loaded covers that provide impact resistance in harsh environments and a NEMA 4X watertight rating when covers are closed or when mated with a watertight plug
Nickel plated blades, contacts and terminal screws provide corrosion resistance
Plugs and connectors have glass reinforced polypropylene interiors that provide strength and durability, and when mated they have a NEMA 4X and IP67 watertight rating
