Description

The ClearWave is a time-tested product that conditions water without using salt, chemicals or changes to plumbing. ClearWave treated water acts like soft water even though we don't remove the calcium. We use computer generated clearwaves to alter the calcium particles so they don't stick to each other or to your plumbing. These changed particles help dissolve existing scale and help prevent new scale from forming. This ClearWave treated water continues to dissolve scale as it flows downstream. Over time, the ClearWave helps solve hard water problems in the entire system, including pipes, water heater, shower heads and appliances.

Excellent Option

I've installed over two dozen of these units for customers with no other options to deal with hard water problems. Always with a money back guarantee if it doesn't help ameliorate the problem to their satisfaction. I've removed exactly one unit. And that was part of an experiment that the customer was aware of going in as a last ditch effort short of a traditional softener and other equipment. I always run a water test first to see if the unit is suitable for their situation. If the hardness is over about 15-16 GPG, the unit effect tends to diminish. Reviews from my customers have been raves to moderate satisfaction. Again, this unit is not a softener. It takes nothing out of the water. It prevents minerals in the water from sticking to each other to build larger crystals or sticking to fixtures, heating elements. I had one customer with a unit I installed go over two years before having to have their tank-less hot water coil flushed. Without the unit, the coil would block up in less than 3 months. Iron in the water will kill the action of the unit. I've installed iron removal filters if the iron is of a manageable level. This allows the unit to work. Iron MUST be dealt with before using this unit. Another issue this unit is not suitable for is a water condition where the water is of low PH and is also full of mineral. The mineral acts as a buffer to the low PH to some degree but not enough to neutralize the acidity of the water. Installing a unit in this circumstance will kill the coating action of the mineral in the system and allow the acidic water to do increased damage to the system. I've had toilet bowls turn black from this. (copper deposits) That was the experiment I conducted as stated above. These water conditions need calcite blocks, soda ash injection systems to neutralize acidity followed by a traditional softener to take care of the problem. An option to try before going the softener route.

Over a month and very little difference

I know I have very hard water and this easy to install device has made only a very small difference. Regretfully, as usual you get what you pay for.....I'll probably have to go to a professional water softener to save all my new stainless sinks, appliances etc. Water spots still there, just a tad easier to clean.

Extremely happy with this purchase

After reading the other reviews, we decided to try this product out and we are extremely happy we did! It was delivered to our house less than 24 hours after we ordered it, and we installed it in minutes. After only a few days we noticed that spots that had hard water build up for years was starting to disappear. A big plus was laundry was clean, dishes from dishwasher cleaner and soap in showers would lather better. We would recommend this to anyone with an issue with hard water. Glad we went this route instead of a water softener that I would have to load with salt monthly.

I would buy this again and did.

This time since I just re piped my house and put in radiant heat and boilers I put 2 unites on. I have been in my house for 25 years and this is the 3rd time replacing them. The second time was brand x and is wasn't as good as the clear wave. The clear wave prevent my stuff from turning yellow, and helps with the calcium deposits.

yes!

This is our second Clear Wave Water Conditioner. We bought out first one over 20 years ago. They work well! We have hard water and this takes care of it. We noticed more water spots, dishes didn't look clean, toilet bowls were stained, and dish water left over night was slimy. All signs for us that our Clear Wave Water Conditioner was unplugged. Unfortunately our stopped working after 20 plus years. We installed our new one and all the problems listed above are gone!!!

Q: Would this product avoid me buying a water softener or would I still need one?

The ClearWave works effectively in water with hardness as high as 25 grains or 425 ppm. If your water is harder than this, we recommend you use a traditional salt softener in conjunction with the ClearWave.
