I am ordering a second one. I have used the Fieldpiece SOX3 for 3 seasons and found it to be a great tool that is durable. it is time for a new O2 sensor and I don't need to send it to the Factory Authorized facility for calibration. The hard plastic case has room for a True Spot smoke tester and room for a small manometer. I have the UEI EM151in this case to measure the chimney draft. I grew up with the Classic Fyrite CO2 indicator bottle and have used several electronic analyzers. Kits from $800 to $2000 all get abused by technicians. This is an affordable answer to this problem.

SOX3 Combustion Check Meter
out of the box and the sensor indicator did not work.this was the second one with the same problem. call the company and tech dept. told me they have an issue with the sensor indicator not working or after the Meter is used a few times it stops working.you won't know when it needs to be replaced.

Instructions are awkward but good tool.
Used it to tune o2/co2 on a triangle tube combi. First o2 sensor didn't seem to work but fieldpiece customer service is fantastic and gave me a free one and exchanged my device just to make sure I didn't have issues.
Will be buying field piece devices again for sure.

Good for industrial burner maintenance
We run a commercial heat treating company and we need an oxygen analyzer to tune the tube firing burners by setting the oxygen levels in the exhaust. Does the job well, although we did melt the handle once and had to modify it. And it's about the best priced unit available.

Pretty cool so far
I think it's a great value for the price. It reads pretty quickly, not as fast as my Wohler A450 did, but it's also 1/10th the price.
I'm not doing oil anymore, so I really just needed something simple for setting up wall hung gas boilers, and this does that. I wish it read CO, but for the price is worth it.

Great tool for the DIYer
I put a new oil furnace in my garage and used the Fieldpiece SOX3 to get it set up and running. I'm not an HVAC pro, but the tester is pretty easy to use if you have a basic understanding of how your burner works, and have the specs it should be set to. The SOX3 cost me about what the pro would have charged, and now I can check the furnace whenever I choose.

Just what I needed
Couldn't get an oil furnace person to come out due to people not wanting to work anymore. No problem, I'll spend the money on this tool and tune the furnace myself. Worked just as expected.
