Features
- Inverter Technology - Through new, advanced technology, Inverter air conditioners are more economical to operate and quieter to run than conventional units. They can handle greater extremes in temperature, are smoother and more stable in operation, and reach the desired temperature more quickly than conventional air conditioners.
- Inverter Control - The Inverter component allows the outdoor unit to vary its speed and output to match the required capacity of the indoor unit. Thus, the Inverter model can achieve 30% more operating efficiency than conventional models and therefore, is much less expensive to run.
- Clean Air - All of the wall mounted cooling-only units feature both an Apple-Catechin Filter and an Ion Deodorizing Filter. The Apple-Catechin Filter absorbs dust, mold spores and microorganisms by static electricity. Growth is inhibited and deactivated by the polyphenol ingredient extracted from apples. The Ion Deodorizing Filter deodorizes by powerfully decomposing absorbed odors using the oxidizing and reducing effects of ions generated by the ultra-fine particle ceramic.
- Quiet Operation - Wall mounted systems include an extra quiet fan speed ("Quiet Mode") to make sure that you are not disturbed.

Awesome Heat Pump
I installed this unit to heat and cool my garage / workshop. Installation was very straightforward with the help of my local HVAC contractor to vacuum down the system and check proper operation at startup. I purchased the 15 ft lineset with the unit then had to add some 5/8" ID hose for a condensate drain, a 15A 2-pole breaker, and a local (outside) disconnect. I also bought a flex whip kit to connect from the disconnect to the outside unit. The manual shows either solid core or stranded wire to connect the outside unit to the wall unit inside. Since 4-conductor SJ cord was not readily available, I used exterior / underground 14/3 cable (the gray stuff, includes a ground) and had no problem. This unit has efficiency that is literally off the chart, both for heating and cooling. 25 SEER and 12 HSPF are well above the "best" on the government energy label. In addition the unit is so quiet that at first I didn't know it was running. Highly recommended!

Q: Do the indoor units need to be mounted high on a wall? I live in a story and a half Cape and would want to mount on the knee wall.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffIndoor units will work if mounted low on the wall, but function more effectively when placed higher. Mounting the units high on the wall brings about optimal air flow and prevents pet hair and other particles on the ground from being sucked into the unit.

Yes, this unit is charged with 410A from the factory. I think your lines have to be over 45 feet before you need to add any.
