This very easy-to-install basement flood prevention device operates like a check valve to seal off water back-up caused by overloaded sewers. The Flood-Guard can be installed in minutes. A screwdriver is all that you need. Once in place, it can prevent property damage and a very messy clean-up job. Gaskets are made of molded rubber, and all metal parts are plated or stainless steel.

Very simple way to help prevent sewer from backing up
Just tighten the screws, push into the drain and tighten the screws tight. I tested it by placing it into a piece of drain and pushing it into a bucket of water. Some water did get past it, but only a small amount.

Fit good
Got this on the day the website said I would get it. The design is pretty simple and it seems to be made pretty good. I don't see why this wouldn't work based on its design, it basically just floats if there is water coming up and will close the opening. I was worried about it fitting in my insert in my drain but it fit just fine.

Great product. I would highly recommend it
I installed it in a floor drain, in a garage that would overflow with heavy rains and downpours. After installing this product the garage has remained bone dry. It completely stopped the water from overflowing through the floor drain. It was quick and super easy to install

significantly mire difficult to install than led to believe, but fits well after a LOT of tightening to fit into 3" pipe. Will see if it works to prevent backflow
