The purchase of this item ensures that when the freight truck arrives with your boiler/water heater, the truck will be equipped with a lift gate. A lift gate transfers your boiler/water heater down from the truck and onto the street. All of our boilers/water heaters are shipped via freight companies and may be ordered with the lift gate.
Be aware that standard trucks do not have lift gates, therefore if you do not order a lift gate, you will need the assistance of several people to get the boiler/water heater off the truck once it is delivered.
Liftgate service includes removal of your package from the truck and provides curbside delivery.

A no brainer option for a home owner
I ordered a 50gal water heater with the lift gate service. At the time of delivery my contractor was unavailable and I did not have a means of unloading the heater.
Living in a rual sub-divison in mid Missouri, with a curvey road, I was concern when the YRC semi-truck arrived. The driver had no trouble backing his rig down to the driveway. He unloaded heater on to a pallet mover and move it up to the garage where we inspected it for damage ... there was none.
A big word of thanks to the driver & YRC; he was both courteous and very helpful and arrived at the agreed time.
The few extra "bucks" for the lift gate service was money well spent. Oh! yes the AO Smith heater is working fine.

Truck type needed
I have to say the lift gate service is great for heavy items. BUT I found out that they come with a trailer truck for those who have driveways like mine you better have a truck to take it from the road to your house. Next time I will order lift gate with a straight job truck that can turn in my driveway.

Great Service
Awesome service. Driver was curteous and helpful. Had pallet jack on the truck and moved the skid holding two water heaters into the garage. He then waited patiently while the items were inspected. This service is worth every penny for a residential delivery.

I would buy this product again
We did not receive a phone call for the deliver, but knew enough to stay home on projected delivery date.
The young man was efficent and cordial. He apologized for the lack of a call and actually delivered it into our garage.

Useful and fairly priced
Getting a bulky & heavy item from the high bed of a large truck down a 200 ft. gravel driveway to my house can be a daunting task, but the lift gate service took care of this. The driver cheerfully did the whole job, including unstrapping the items from the shipping pallet to make it easier to negotiate the driveway with his hand truck
