Perfect exact replacement with fast shipping

My local heater repair person doesn't deal with my brand furnace and none of his distributors carried the gasket I needed. I had the idea of finding it on my own and just having him install it and that was just what I did. The gasket and cover plate seems identical in every way and quality to the original and ordering was easy and delivery was very fast even during the holiday season.

Correct Part Number But Wrong Picture

The part number is correct for my furnace listed but the picture (as of 10/27/2021) is for a smaller furnace. Part 20017003AS Collector Box has 26 screw holes and not the 18 as shown. My old box was is decent shape but since 10+ years old I replaced as inexpensive. The new gaskets are definitely thicker and a bit denser then the original. I gently sanded off some plastic flash on the box sealing flange left from the mold process and cleaned some flash out of the drain hole as well. You will need to reuse the 2 rubber plugs off your old box for the side opposite your drain. The arrow marks on the top and bottom edge of the collector box had slightly longer screws on my furnace. After removing the box the longer screws go through the initial layer of sheet metal while the shorter ones screw directly to it. This kit provides multiple new gaskets for intake, exhaust and inducer motor. You must remove the 90* hard rubber elbow that attaches to the inducer motor to pull the exhaust tube up and out of the furnace to replace the exhaust tube gasket and make sure to install a new inducer motor gasket. Don't overtorque box screws or inducer motor screws. The old and new gaskets have a tape adhesive backing and fairly easy to remove if you take your time. A thin blade putty knife or gasket removal tool is handy and mineral spirits will clean up any remaining residue. Dry thoroughly before installing new gasket and align holes before setting. The collector box gasket is installed with the double screw holes toward the bottom (on my furnace) and not all screw holes are punched out of the gasket I assume to seal the screw when installed. No more leaks and probably going to be part of my annual inspection.

Furnace cover at the right price

Cover and seal will replace a cover/seal combo on a 2005 Goodman furnace. Upon first inspection, this cover looks a bit "beefier" (thicker materials) than the original (that is to be removed shortly). Delivery was as good as could be expected, nicely packaged, and hopefully this will fix the tiny leak. Replacing entire cover as the old one starts to develop some hairline cracks in the upper left corner. As Goodman was not willing to tell me the actual part number (even though I gave them, both model and serial numbers), and SupplyHouse had a stock image for description (a cover for a narrower furnace) I was hesitant to purchase. But helpful user on Reddit.com pointed me to the correct part number. Depending on condition of existing cover looks when removing it - and more important heat exchanger - I might buy an extra cover just to have it as a spare (in case it'll be hard to find in 10-15 years when it likely needs to be replaced again).

Part works as advertised.

Liked the fact that the gasket did not have all screw hole locations stamped into it. As a result I believe there will be a better seal around those un-stamped holes and better support for the torque of the screw at those hole locations. My old collector box cracked / leaked at the location of one of the lower mounting screw. One of the hole locations that in now not stamped out in the gasket.
