The genuine gold plated water sensor pins are a key feature design implemented within the FloodBug. The gold plated pins allow for a higher sensitivity of water detection and are a design feature that differentiates itself from lesser quality systems. If used alone, without the VIP, the FloodBug can serve as an early warning water sensor to alert you that leaks are happening now. When a leak is detected the FloodBug will sound an alarm and send a signal to the VIP and FloTrax to shut off the water supply to the pipe that is causing the issue.
