The Trace Light is a 9 LED handheld UV inspection light designed for use with Trace 2 fluorescent dye leak detector. It illuminates UV-reactive dyes to reveal refrigerant and oil leaks that are invisible to the naked eye. The compact 3-1/2" x 1" size with included strap makes it easy to carry and use in the field.
Applications
Applications
- Used in conjunction with Trace 2 or other UV fluorescent leak detection dyes to locate leaks in AC, refrigeration, and hydraulic systems.
- Inject Trace 2 into the system using the appropriate injector.
- Run the system for a few minutes to circulate the dye.
- Shine the UV light on all suspected leak areas. Leaks will appear as a bright purple-blue fluorescent color.
