43, 1/4" Straight Steam Convector Air Valve

Product fit perfectly and was an exact replacement. Glad I was able to a place that had all the parts and supplies I need.

The product is well made, not tinny like those carried by big box stores. Worth the extra cost. You guys seem to be the only place I checked that carries the I/4 inch size. My local plumbing supply store, which supposedly carters to plumbers, only carried the 3/8 inch size which required an adaptor. Surprising, since the whole area surrounding the place has radiators that use 1/4 inch because all the houses were built around the same time. Thank you Supplyhouse.

43, 1/4" Straight Steam Convector Air Valve is an excellent product. One of my radiators was making a lot of noise and blew a lot of steam so that the walls were getting dump. Changing the valve fixed all of the above issues. However, I wonder why 43, 1/4" are so hard to get, and are so expensive compared to other sizes. All other sizes and models are between 10-15 dollars.

Replacing a very old #43, the new one's thread seems thicker and tightens more quickly by comparison. But it works, and it's quiet - no hissing. Just a click when the steam comes on, and a softer click later when the steam goes down. Unfortunately the first one I ordered was defective; it never closed and hissed under steam.
