How should I change this?
I've been buying these parts from Supply House (the best company for service and price), but I don't understand the need to change each back flow preventer yearly at $56 each. It would seem that this part should last at least 5 years. Does anyone have a different notion about this?

The packing was perfect, the part was in perfect condition and the delivery was earlier than expect it. The part came 2 days earlier that the receipt stated.
