Power Series Continuous Feed Garbage Disposal, 3/4 HP

I have professionally installed 100s? Too many to count. Through various renditions. Improvements, and a dozen models. Some of the new models include the proprietary cord, with the unique plug. some just have the adapter for new "plug" to install on cord. I could rate this particular "upgrade" 4.25 stars. it takes patience and solid wire would make it easier. (like romex hard wire application, as often is the original setup). However, since I am a plumber, I took the stranded wire 18 gauge wire cord, and soldered the tips, pushed home with needle nose, done. engagement was finished. This response is to another user rating "noting the need for additional cord. $50?" I did not research on that quote. seems he did not get the adapter, or refused to investigate. I cannot offer more discussion on his perspective. These push connectors have been out a few years, I havent seen any failure. Its no more fragile than a basic wire nut.

insinkerator is the number one, longest lasting dispoal. They work great. BUT. My customer bought a PRO750. I was amazed at the stupidity of the new power cord needed. No more removing the cord from the old disposal and using it on the new one. There is a push connector plug that will not accept stranded wire. You have to buy an OEM cord that I just priced at over $50.00. Mine did not come with a cord. I am told that you can order them with the new, proprietary cord. I will tell you that this plug assembly will fail. The amperage going through it is going to overheat the connection points over time, and burn the plastic. If you have to buy one of these, just beware, because I told you so.
