Symmons Shower Valve Seal Kit

For me, biggest problem working on Symmons valves is can you get the handle off. The trim can be an issue, but usually is has been the handle which fuses to the spindle. Also because the parts can be so expensive and just a hassle chasing down one part at a time, often if you want to repair this valve then just buy another valve and use it as donor valve. Which never seemed to make much sense but if you count the time going to get the parts and so on then that was usually how I tackled Symmons. So I gave up on Symmons, honestly. But if you can get this stem out, which usually just requires a pipe wrench if you can free it from the trim, then this kit might help you out. The middle washer can be quite difficult to remove. I had to place the spindle in a vice to get it off. If you decide to tackle this valve, perhaps spend the money and buy the replacement spindle which includes the washers on it.
