3 have failed in less than 6 years
First one came in a Laars Mascot LX boiler. It wasn't balanced correctly from the factory and made a loud noise during startup and shutdown. Eventually the plastic blade destroyed itself sending plastic pieces into the boiler after ~2 years. Second one lasted 14 months (just past the 1 year warranty period) and Supply House refused to do the right thing. This one fried a leg on one of the voltage regulators on the PCBA. The third (and final straw) failed just today and I have yet to figure out why with no signs of bad components on the board. Inexcusably poor quality even though it's a German manufacturer (Ebm Papstof) this subassembly. Laars is no better in controlling their suppliers and this subassembly should have triggered a voluntary recall.
