I manage a mobile home community. Several homes are gas. The exact valve is discontinued, this is an upgraded part that fits nicely. I try to keep these in stock to be able to get furnace up and running if the valve fails.

An upgraded replacement to the original, works perfectly
This unit replaced the original on our furnace. The older unit had a design flaw that lead to it only lasting around five years before failing. This unit is a redesign that appears to not be as weak. It fit perfectly and works great.

Gas Valve shipped was not as depicted on the website
Ordered Honeywell VR8205R2091as shown on the website as P/N 1046626 to replace my stuck closed Honeywell gas valve. Instead I received White Rodgers 36J29-204P1 shipped in a box labeled 1046626. Customer Service promptly shipped another gas valve, but it was also a White Rodgers, not the Honeywell I was expecting as shown on the website. The Honeywell and WR mounting brackets were not interchangeable, and the bracket that came with the WR was about 1/2" away from the furnace mounting plate. The bracket holes were also misaligned. So I bent the WR bracket until it would mount to the furnace. And the factory adjusted WR gas valve measured 4.1" W.C. not 3.5" W.C. I gave 2 stars for the Great Customer Service and fast shipping.
