Virginia Metal Safe Ice Machine Cleaner has been specifically formulated for use in ice machines with sensitive plated evaporators or surfaces. This product can be used to clean all types of ice machines; cube, tube or flake. During normal ice production, minerals in the water drop out of suspension and bond to the metal to form scale. This scale, if left unchecked, can encrust the internal surfaces and lead to a dramatic reduction in ice production as well as a degradation of taste. Pitting or the removal of plating from ice machine surfaces can result from the use of an improper cleaner. If this happens, then the machine may experience a longer harvest cycle and a reduction of cube size and system capacity. Periodic use of Virginia's Metal Safe Ice Machine Cleaner will keep ice makers in top condition and producing ice at maximum capacity. Virginia's Metal Safe Ice Machine Cleaner also works on commercial grade dishwashers and steam tables for removing scale build-up.
