Peerless Purefire Boiler - Flame Sensor and Igniter
My Heating/AC maintenance company told me I should replace the igniter and flame sensor in our high efficiency Peerless Purefire boiler, as they were both around 6 years old, but have never had an issue with either of them. They quoted me around $550 to replace both, and said it would take an hour or less. So I checked on YouTube and found the same boiler with a easy replacement video. I ordered the Peerless parts from Supplyhouse.com, had them the next day. Approximately 5-10 min later, they were replaced - with just four small screws. I guess they were correct - less than 1 hour. The good news was that the two parts cost a total of $158.20 with free shipping!
