It restored my old heater to like new condition.
The part works electronically but the bracket was wrong. I had to use the old bracket but then the new shorter sensor didn't make contact with the heating tubes of my gas-fired heater. That shortened the run-time of the fan and left the heater hot instead of heating the garage. So I machined an aluminum tube that fit over the sensor and extends to the heating tube. Works great.
