I would purchase this part again.
Doug from Reznor explained to start a few threads into the gas regulator. Then push the gas tube inward as you tighten the compression nut.

Exactly what is required for the pilot assembly
This is separate because not all gas regulators are identical. It is difficult to use--you have to keep the tube firmly seated until the compression nut is very tight in the regulator. It is an exact match, however.
