FINALLY GOT THE PART I NEEDED, WORKS GREAT

Part is the exact replacement for my existing part, and exactly what I ordered, which now-a-days is a relief! However, I have not installed this part, so can't say it is in and working yet. I would source parts from Supply House again.

This worked perfectly replacing a LP Gas Valve & Thermostat model that is no longer available for my hot water heater. This was in December. The first valve I bought was a slightly different dimension than the original so it would not fit at all. This valve was close enough to work. The return on the first valve was easy and all the people I dealt with were extremely courteous and helpful. The install was 3 months ago and the hot water heater has performed flawlessly through the winter.

First I replaced the pilot and thermocouple unit and the pilot still went out. Had to be the thermostat, that's all that was left. Sure enough that fixed my problem. Hot water all the time. Installation was easy and no gas leaks thanks to double doping the threads. The technician made sure I got the right part.

We use this WH for a mission project at the State Fair. Last year, refused to stay lit, so borrowed one from a vacant rental to get thru the fair. Checked around, and this was the best price for a replacement. Ordered, and two days later installed it worked PERFECT. Much cheaper than a new WH. Next two weeks will be the test as we start State Fair ministry next week

We use these LP gas water heater valves to replace the older OEM Robert Shaw units. It is a perfect fit and functions as well as the original units and far cheaper than replacing a perfectly good tank. This LP valve also includes a "plug and play" spark unit replacement...a big time saver. The only issue is the thermocouple connection is a little deep and, not wanting to strip anything; plumbers may not tighten it enough to bottom out...otherwise an excellent replacement. Also, the TRD combustion air cutoff device in these water heaters is a problem. A glass vial breaks when the water heater overheats due to soot burning or other problems and it closes an air door so the flame will not stay lit. This glass vial is not readily available (and should be) so many users simply shim it with a piece of metal or wood.
