Just what I needed
Of course SharkBite is a great product and Supply House carries a great selection. Quick delivery so I could make a repair in a tight space so the Slip On feature of this valve saved me a ton of time.

Shark Bite Valve
Excellent service from Supplyhouse.

Will not slip into gap
Instructions say to cut a 2 1/2 inch gap in the pipe. However, the gap needs to be closer to 3 inches to fit valve once slip end is all the way in. I called Sharkbite, they said the instructions were wrong, but I could cut out up to 2.86 inches, any more it would leak.
I cut out closer to 3 inches to squeeze the valve in, no leak yet. They need to design this valve with a 1/2 longer slip end and instruct people to cut a 3 inch gap in order to fit the short end in the gap.
