IT IS FOR A SPECIAL APPLICATION
I wasn't to impressed with the product. I was replacing one that was leaking. I prefer a traditional shower arm installation. But this was how the original installation was done. I didn't want to have to open the shower wall to change to the traditional type of installation so I used the shower wallnut. I would not use it in a new installation. In a repair to shower that was done this way originally it worked.

Very few vendors have this product
This was a replacement for me for the same product that was used by my home's builder. No local vendors and very few online vendors stock this product. SupplyHouse.com had it for a much better price, and they shipped it very fast. I am now a fan of Supply House!
