Description
–
Sioux Chief 883 or 884 Series TKO closet fanges are installed where
necessary in drainage systems. Closet flange are fastened to floor and
provide tabs or slots for fastening closet bolts to flange ring. Flanges
have a 3" Sch. 40 hub connection which conforms to ASTM D2665 (PVC) or
D2661 (ABS) and also install inside most 4" pipe. Knockout cap must come
out in one piece and shall be sized larger than drain opening, preventing it
from falling down drain line. Closet flanges hold a standard head test
and be UPC listed.

Poorly designed knockout. Falls down drain or breaks fitting
I've had big problems with the knockout feature of this product.
During the first install, the knockout top shattered and fell down the drain. To retrieve the pieces, I had to dismantle a sewage ejector pump, which luckily hadn't yet been used.
During the recent second install, I thought I tried to avoid this and knock out the knock out before gluing, but the primary fitting pipe cracked. I definitely plan to discontinue the use of this product due to the defectiveness of knockout design.
FYI: Manufacturer claims "Knockout will not break apart and cannot fall down drain pipe" This is obviously not true.
