works as expected
I've used hundreds of these fittings when replacing dishwasher supply lines . I use them on the 1/2" o.d. shutoffs to reduce to 3/8". Never had an issue.

Trash - 3 out of 6 failed after only 4 years
Replaced all copper line in our house with pex 4.5 years ago. Have 6 of these fittings on our 3 bathroom sinks….3 of the 6 failed in the last 6 months. No other fittings in our entire house have had any issues. Wall on female portion of fitting is extremely thin and eventually develops a crack. In my experience, these are trash.
