MERV 8 Better Quality filtration has been found to be highly effective. Under standardized testing, Skuttle’s MERV 8 high-efficiency filter media captures and holds 84.9% of airborne contaminants and pollutants ranging between 3.0 and 10.0 microns in size. For comparison, a single human hair ranges in size from 20.0 to 40.0 microns.

Skuttle Air Filter
This size and model was recommended by local HVAC retail service company after buying 4 filters that did not fit from another online supplier. This filter is better but still does not fit properly & have to place items heavy enough to hold filter to work.

Perfect Fit
I bought what I thought was a filter to fit my AC and it turned out it was a generic brand. Once I purchased the skuttle from the SupplyHouse, the filter slid in just like it was designed to.
