- One SmartLock SWUN3800 union body
- Two union nuts
- Two ferrules
- One positioning strip
- No brazing or flaring required. Tighten nuts to seal tubes and valves without heat or flame.
- Automatic alignment. Positioning strip holds ferrules and body in perfect alignment for smooth assembly.
- Metal-to-metal seal. Compression ferrules deform to seal under high pressure for lasting, leak-free joints.
- Over-torque prevention. Built-in stops prevent nuts from overtightening and damaging the fitting.
- Corrosion-resistant finish.
- Works with all common refrigerants, including R-410A, R-22, R-134a, R-744, R-717 and A2L blends.
- Suitable for copper-to-copper, copper-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-aluminum connections.
- Tools needed. Standard open-end or adjustable wrenches only.
- Installation tip. Hand-start nuts on tubes and valves, then wrench-tighten until the fitting's torque stop engages.

Game changer for condenser connection
Used to only be able to get these through Famous Supply and they wouldn't always have them in stock. Glad Supply House started stocking them! You only need two wrenches. No brazing/hot work. No press tool. There is no press equivalent (yet). I would only suggest getting the exact sized open ended wrenches for the model/size. They happen to be 22mm for this size. Check the manufacturer's website under FAQ.

Great for DIY — Solid, Leak-Free, and Easy to Use
Used the 3/8" Swage Union SmartLock on the high side of a 4-ton AC unit — worked perfectly. It's especially great for DIY installs. No need for brazing or specialized tools — just tighten it down and you're good to go. It costs a bit more than traditional fittings, but for doing a unit here or there, it's totally worth it. Saves time, avoids hassle, and gives peace of mind with a solid, leak-free connection.

Part works great, very pleased.
The smartlock fittings are becoming a go to product in the ever changing hvac field. The new A2L refrigerants that are out plus building codes changing, brazing will become harder to do. The smartlock fittings attach directly to the vapor/liquid line and lock down snug every time. They're perfect for times you can't use brazing, such as ran out of brazing supplies or code won't allow it. I have used smartlock for over a year and absolutely love them.
