Almost Hit the Mark
This Spears threaded extension pipe is of high quality but at this length really needs a fixed nut for tightening. Used wrench strap to tighten.

I use TOE (threaded one end) nipples. These from Spears are molded and always have mold imperfections (after cutting the unneeded threads) that are difficult at best to remove for a decent spigot end. Real nipples are turned from actual SCH 80 pipe.

Probably wouldn't buy again
Not certain they really are schedule 80 - appear to be the same as irrigation risers, but I could be wrong (we'll see when they fail…).
