Description

The Room Temperature Unit (RTU) 054 consists of a temperature sensor and an adjustable dial which is used to set the desired indoor temperature. The RTU 054 dial has a temperature range from 40 to 100°F (4 to 38°C). In cases where a restricted temperature range is required, the dial rotation can be limited using limit pins supplied with the RTU. A 10K temperature sensor (eg. 071, 072, etc.) can be mounted remotely from the RTU. This RTU does not work with older tekmar controls.

Reissued by Watts
RTU is a sensor that uses resistance to measure ambient air temperature, it isn't a thermostat switch. They were out of production, recently reissued. I replace two and this summer will calibrate the 3 older units. You need to read the resistance with a meter to calibrate them. RTU'S are 5 of the 8 sensors used in radient heat system where the controller coordinates supply / return water temp, zone valves and distribution of when each zone is active.

Good product, good price, great service
Needed to replace some old Tekmar RTU 054 units and PexSupply filled my order in a timely fashion and everything arrived in fine condition. The old RTUs would occasionally call for heat and then keep the furnace running well beyond the setpoint. The replacement units fixed the problem.

Tekmar RTU 054
Perfect replacement for malfunctioning unit. Original RTU measured correct resistance but still ran heat way beyond set point. Replacement restored function of Tekmar 370 to normal.
