The transmitter and receiver are sold pre-linked and are installation-ready. With exceptional range and a 10 year battery life, the Wireless Outdoor Sensor 087 provides maximum accuracy, convenience and reliabilty.

Great solution
Works great on retrofit mod con jobs where it's not always easy to run a wire and locate an outdoor sensor. I've used these on several jobs now with great success. Regardless of a previous review for this product the module will automatically relink after a power cycle.. just takes about 10mins or so.

Better than running wire, sort of.
Doesn't appear to hold a link thru a power cycle, which would be a pain to link it up again every blip of the power. A UPS solved this problem.

works great so far
using this indoors even though its an "outdoor" sensor. it updates the temp every 10 minutes which is good enough for me.
reaching from the basement on one end of the house to the other end on the 2nd floor, through several plaster/lathe walls.

Q: Does the Tekmar 087 Wireless sensor come with the 24v power supply or would it need to be purchased separately? If it needs to be purchased separately, can you give me an item number to purchase from your site?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffA separate power supply is required for the 087 to operate on 24 volts. The Tekmar 009 would be one option; http://www.supplyhouse.com/Tekmar-009-Transformer-40-VA-24-V
