Yes, all true electronic air cleaners produce ozone. Trion units produce less than 0.036 PPM. Standard office printers and copiers will produce more ozone than this. The US Navy accepted standard is 0.050 PPM. Keep in mind, however, that some people are more sensitive to ozone than others and can detect even the smallest amounts.
This unit should be installed into a duct, it connects directly to a heating or cooling system.
