outstanding product in its class
It took my wife 6 years to get convinvced that the air quality in the house could be a cause for allergy attacks.. finally when I forced he to agree and installed the filter after a clean up of the ducts, bam no allergies.. she is down to 1-2 headache episodes a month Vs. 12-15 great product outstanding price and Pex supply did a greatr job getting it to me on time

Spend a little extra and buy a bett er r system
I experienced two issues immediately upon unpacking. The unit is out of square making it challenging to mount without looking out of plumb to a return. The second issue is paint failure on the access door. These are manufacturing issues.
Supply house exceeded my expectations and took ownership. They offered a replacement or discount for the issues after Trion failed to address my concerns.
The unit works but needs some better QC. I would recommend spending extra for the Lennox system. My highest compliments to Supply house's customer service department - first class!

replaced media unit
Replaced air bear paper filter unit with electronic. Did a complete replacement but could have saved time by leaving old cabinet in place and removing knockouts to fit electronic top unit and using new unit door. Trion could perhaps provide an electronic unit upgrade for owners of paper filter units.

Direct replacement of my old unit
I have bought this unit as direct replacement of my old 20 years old HE1400 unit. It was direct replacement. Duct size opening was the the same. Mounting was easy. I even have spare filters from my old unit right now.

quality product
I ordered another well known manufacturers electronic filter and was completely dissatisfied with the constuction, I sent this back. I then ordered the Trion and found the cabinet construction far superior. I also like the feature of the air flow sensing to turn the power on.

Q: Do the Trion electronic air cleaners produce any ozone?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffYes, all true electronic air cleaners produce ozone. Trion units produce less than 0.036 PPM. Standard office printers and copiers will produce more ozone than this. The US Navy accepted standard is 0.050 PPM. Keep in mind, however, that some people are more sensitive to ozone than others and can detect even the smallest amounts.

Q: I was reading Mr. Nybbie review on this and he said something about the turning vanes giving him trouble, What is He talking about? I thought you just sit in in place and hook it to the blower line and that was it.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe turning vanes are an optional installation method. If the air cleaner is installed adjacent to a 90° duct elbow, turning vanes are added inside the duct to improve air distribution across the face of the air cleaner. It is usually an installation method that is used to increase efficiency.
