WiFi Temperature Sensor

I wanted to add a floor sensor to a few rooms for hydronic heat. I don't need a battery powered solution and prefer not so I just bought a 24VAC wall wart and powered the device that way. The instructions could be better but it was relatively easy with the Venstar App on my iPhone to add the remote sensor. It's not super clear to me which thermistor sensors work with this but I'm using the same wire sensor as the T2100 uses which is the ACC-DSEN and confirmed this is fine for this wifi remote also (both on paper and practical test). I'd give this thing 5 stars with a bit more document clarity on what it is compatible with.

Bought two - one failed immediately. SupplyHouse sent out a new one right away - great customer service. Unfortunately the product is too expensive and difficult to install. It has troubles staying connected to wifi in an environment without dropped spots.

You really don't learn how to connect the sensor to the thermostat from the directions or videos from Venstar. You need some background or a teenage son who can manipulate your cell phone settings. I'm a fairly smart mechanical engineer and I tried, unsuccessfully, for several hours. My son did it in 20 minutes. There are other thermostats out there with remote sensors that are easier to use. If I didn't need the dual fuel capability Venstar offers, I would have thrown it away and bought a Honeywell stat.
