Venstar T8900 ColorTouch Thermostat 365 Day Programmable w/ WiFi and Humidity (Commercial)

Venstar out of nowhere. It's one of those companies that must spend little to no money on marketing/advertising, but let their product quality and capability speak volumes. Word of mouth is powerful stuff. Anyway, We are now running several of these across our facilities. They work, easy to setup, easy to connect, multiple options for connectivity, the software isn't buggy and instead it's polished. On my laundry list of things I needed, the free/open API was huge because it allows insight and control without being a walled garden. VERY highly recommended.

The ability to control 2 stage compressor in Venstar thermostat is unmatchable. I've tried google's nest and even Sensi, but their programs override what you would want. With a little fudging of the math, one can have the first stage compressor working and set the second stage active during high sun exposure (to match Solar system's output). Can't do that with other vendors. btw - wifi connection was a breeze, and the menu is similar to prior models. I did not notice the "local heat" problem that generates erroneous temperature readings.
